Kind of brilliant and appalling in equal measure. I bought this on tape from a weird place on Oxford Road Manchester. Very funny with a pipe and slippers.

i did background vocals on this album in london. my very talented brother wrote and produced the record "november song" was done first by "the trout" mgm, a group i was a member off . i love this album and think its richard at his best. it's a shame it was not more successful

I agree - the recording industry DOES need to get their acttogether - I am in the process of digitizing all my music - all cd's, cassettes, 8-tracks, vinyls - to MP3. I keep coming across problems like this. As to the argument of harvesting free music off the internet - 'scuse me, I'm tired of paying for the same set of songs 3 or 4 times. Vinyl lp, casette, 8-track, cd - of Abbey Road. come on - Paul McCartney doesn't need any more of my money.

Close to the lp version: Thanks :)

I noticed that this is indeed not the same take as the lp. I wish the recording corporation would get its act together or at least note the difference. The speed of the monologue has been increased. I prefer the lp, but I am glad a version of this lp has been released on cd.

yes, I no longer have the album, but I did tape it. The version on the original album is different than this version.

The best piece on the album-truly a classic from Harris-the background nuances and vocals are stupendous.

This version actually has a few more 'slides' then the album. It also at some points sounds a little sped up. Thats how much this album and song meant to me....I actually memorized the entire monologue I listen it so many times. Thats how I know there is no "Bojangles" Or horse named "sugar"In the original album.

O que é bom, a idade não apaga. E ainda bem que assim é. Viva bem!
