This video includes brief instructions about how to teach your pony to step over jumps instead of over-jumping. Markey is 14 years old and approximately 12'2h. He is a really sweet boy and loves people. He used to be a bit quick but is a really excellent example of how a pony can learn to slow down if they're' shown what is desirable and given a treat to make it all worthwhile, particularly if your pony is innately casual and sweet like Markey. Chloe is 12 years old and a confident beginner rider. Markey was the first pony to teach her to canter. Chloe is still learning about posting diagonals and how to keep her hands low and leg steady. But, she is good about understanding training theory and is a cheerful, hard worker. We use clicker training to help ponies learn what we want from them and tag teach to help riders skills like how to keep their hands low.
