    just got off the phone with Willie Pickens...doing a gig with him in a couple weeks...i said "there any tunes you want us to take a look at?"...he says "Um....do you know Un Poco Loco by Bud Powell?" I said "Is the Pope Catholic?"

    yeah. but in a way one positive effect is that african americans or black ppl in generally are now all over the world, in europe, russia (although racism in russia is pretty bad), south america, japan, england, canada, basically every. but i dnt know much about demographics in china or india although many indians can be very dark so by default are black. (sorry if i have offended anone aor you think you may perhaps be offended by this comment.) Bud was so great his playing transended racisim.
