Peavey ValveKing Metal demo!

my valveking 100 head playing through a 6505 cab, my guitar is a cheap LTD strat body with EMG 81/85s...played in the bridge position. just random jaming no thing special.

ya cuz you should be soundin pretty good with that guitar....could be a tube problem...mine came with RUBY 6L6GC tubes in it...i bought it a yr ago new....it made it through warped tour and mulitple shows so idk, probly due for some tubes but im lookin into a 6505 anyway! hope this helps man.

ya any time you use alot of gain/volume, your gonna have feedback, even with high dollar amps. try standing away from the amp. A BOSS NS2 noise suppresor pedal will fix all your feedback woes, unless you have a bad tube or something....best thing you could ever buy. doesnt alter your tone at all, just completely cuts all feedback and extra noise! they are about 100$ brand new, hope this helps!

@BeforeTheUnseen .Bass at 1/2....mids and treble at 3/4.....Gain at FULL.....texture knob on the back of the head is right about half way sometimes more depending on the acoustics in the room...presence and resonance is also at 3/4...make sure the OHM's switch is set for the right ohm's for your cab. Active pickups help but arnt totally necessary to have good tones from this amp...i use EMG 81/85's pickups in my ESP

@BFMVFREAK2010 what kind of guitar/pickups do u have? and also what kind of cab? i use a 6505 cab which is farrrrr better than a valveking cab as far as speakers go...so natrually its gonna sound better right off the bat...but those are my settings man no bullshit.

Hmm it has got very brutal sound (Y) I have Marshall MG100HDFX probably I will change it for a Peavey head...

I have a VK212. If I have the gain boost on after I stop playing I get a lot of feedback, and the screams. Is this normal? If I turn off the gain boost, no feedback or screaming.

@shinfo002 that's basically the same settings i use, but i only usually put the gain at about 2 o clock. i cant crank the amp very loud with the gain maxed out or else i get horrible feedback lol. Guess im gonna have to throw some emg"s in my rga7 to get the most i can for tone.
