I'm a Croat and was at that game. Someone here said that WC '98 was the best and I absolutely agree! When Šuker scored in '46 we were going crazy on the stands and didn't even notice that Thuram scored.I look up and see"the boys in blue"are celebrating..?WTF!? incredible! but,at least,Cro won vs Holland and was 3rd.To this day Thuram is not very popular in my country, but everyone respects him.Boban,who lost the ball on the 2nd goal recently said;it's was the saddest moment in my entire career!

we often attribute the 98 world cup win to zidane but without the 2 goals from thuram coming from nowhere france would have never reached the final
