(Ok, so he's running a little late...)

Ed Wood's THE VAMPIRE'S TOMB!

Savage suspense - delirious despair!
Watch souls shredded in two
in the vortex of perpetual hell!
The wind screams for revenge,
the air stinks of death...
morbid fantasies of the damned
come to life in an orgy of madness...

In 2000 we shot about 60-70% of this unproduced Edward D. Wood, Jr. project intended for Bela Lugosi in Chicago in four or five days in a high pitched, melodramatic gothic soap opera style...

The tapes sat on a shelf for ages until the "Lugosi Problem" was solved... in a thoroughly chiropractorish fashion, as it turned out. Plus there was the fact that the whole "Vampire" thing mentioned in the title hadn't actually been shot yet. The rest of the script was shot on hideously outdated Ukranian Super-8, Double-X 16mm, and Tri-X Super-8 in Spring 2006 in Brooklyn, New Jersey, Doylestown, and Astoria and is dedicated to all those who have owed film labs bills for decades and to the Shirley inside all of us... with voiceover help from Philip Proctor from the Firesign Theatre and the almighty Criswell... thanks to everyone involved for the unspeakably strange experience across the gulf of bad continuity.

  • It looks like they still DO make 'em like they used to! :) Thanks for the smile your trailer brought as I was sitting in my trailer feeling down in the dumps. God bless, Dan :) :)

  • What makes this good...VERY good...is that you have managed to replicate Wood's style without COPYING it, if you know what I mean. Wood did not set out to make bad films; they just turned out that way because he was who he was. Consider Manos THOF 2, out soon....I see nothing there original, just the old jokes reheated. Here? You have made something quite fun and amusing. Bravo! ED would have loved it. Bring on the DVD.

  • way better then michael bay ed wood

  • Is this available on video?

  • @stuartgardner You can buy DEVIL GIRLS with lots of extras and weirdness on amazon... TOMB on the way.

  • Great Job!!!!

  • Your other videos were reminding me of Firesign Theatre and now this!!! This is what YouTube's all about, baby!

  • Ed Wood dead? More like the unliving dead who shall never die!
