No matter how many time you listen to a Kenny Baker tune, you will always hear something you didn't hear before; so much beautiful and fine detail in his playing, and all of it unlike any other fiddler. RIP, Kenny. You were the Grappelli of bluegrass/oldtime fiddling---a genius and unequaled.
There was only one Kenny Baker who played in a way that touched not only your heart but your very soul as well. I can never forget listening to Kenny and Bill playing Wayfaring Stranger...I have never in my life heard any piece of music as well played. I read once that words weren't enough so God created music. I believe this and Kenny Baker proved it.
