  • The ceiling at 00:24 is not a ceiling. Its a tiny prop in front of the camera to hide undone overhead that was not part of the set. It was cool the way it was done.

  • Oh the 80's...

  • sally wiggin looks better now than she did before.

  • Damn Sally Wiggin must be OOOOLD

  • I was eight when this aired. Sally wiggin looks so young.

  • This is too cool! I lived in Pgh 1980-85 while an undergrad at Pitt. I always liked the morph of the Golden Triangle into the WTAE logo. And the strings and the tempo of the music always sounded "urgent"... like the city itself always seemed. I listened to WTAE-AM in the mornings with O'Brien and Garry too... great way to start the day. I remember how cold it was that Christmas too. Thanks for the great flashback!

  • Dang..i didn't know that Sally Wiggin had been on since I was in college...damn I am now 46.

  • I remember 11 Alive in Atlanta,GA (WXIA) and WTVK-TV 26 (now WVLT-TV 8) in Knoxville, TN had the same exact news open music that played at the beginning of the newscast.

  • There were and still are Hearst stations. They mostly had the same music and similar sets more than once I'm sure.

  • Holy Cow! WBAL's and WTAEs sets looked SO much alike at this time!
