Leafing through an old photograph album bring memories flooding back. As a child I remembered visits to Inverness and the Black Isle, walks through the Great Glen and swims in the Caledonian Canal.

This film features my son, who is seen through an aged film flickering effect, treading the same paths I had walked many years before.

The accordion player is my dear uncle who could play any tune you hummed or whistled on his beautiful Hohner squeezebox. The photographs are from his collection.

  • Hi Linda, thanks for the nice comments. I've never heard of Elliot Bristowe but I've just Googled him and will read up and hopefully see clips of his 'road trips'.

  • Thanks Alex You got it spot on. The film is a series of snapshots of my earliest memories.

  • Loved this video and the Tir Na Nog one. Beautiful! Are you familiar with the work of Elliott Bristowe and his "Road Dreams" home movies?

  • This video really is awesome! It's like having a tap into your mind and seeing flashbacks of memory. The music also seems to reflect the pictures - haunting and dreamlike. Lovely work Lexy.
