  • awesome version of the song! but who is singing it?

  • gavin creel

  • why is gavin singing this song!?

  • it's from a tom kitt concert at joe's pub last october. gavin was part of the "cast".

  • I knew that! But how was Gavin connected to Tom Kitt...how'd he get involved!? That's what I was asking

  • It's theater. Everyone's basically connected. But if you want an exact answer, that you would have to ask Tom Kitt. Sorry.

  • I think I'm going to die. My two favorite shows are Hair and Next to Normal. And now they've been combined! Also Gavin Creel is my favorite person ever. This is love.

    It's a good day.

  • No Gavin!! Never shave. Bring back the stubble...way sexy.

  • love him... este the sing!

  • Holy hell he is gorgeous.

  • I wish they would do a studio version of this. It's great!

  • @JennyENicholson Of course, the original Tom Kitt Band recording of this song is on my account if you want to check it out.

  • @drjax1994 Thanks much! I hadn't even known about the band.

  • @JennyENicholson These lyrics were used when the song was simply a song for Tom Kitt's band (cleverly named the Tom Kitt band) and then once he started N2N he changed the lyrics (although not for good, because the workshop version was much closer to this version than the one that is in the show now) and put in in the show for Dan.

  • When were these the lyrics to the song? Was this an early version where the lyrics were still being workshopped, or were they deliberately changed from the musical so the song could be performed at a concert out of context and not feel too "musical-y"?

  • wow i'm crying

  • The tone and control of his voice is stunning!

Also, I wonder if him and Aaron Tveit are friends...

  • amazing voice!
