@kamalmichael Oh yeah, there it is. Working. Oh, wait, no. No, I still haven't seen it work.
-
@kamalmichael I guess you are not taking "it's immposible" as an answer, right? there is no way to reintoduce the oil back, without lossing water
-
@eyallev the slit straw end is only slightly above the water... now the one and only problem is to reintroduce the oil into the water at the slit. Anything that doesnt include tilting, sponges, wicks ,pumps ,magnets i would happy to hear about on how to solve this
-
@kamalmichael if both ends are above water level, and you plan for gravaty to push the oil down the first part, what will push the oil in the straw back up (I thought the whole idea of putting this in water, is that oil comes out of the straw into the water, and than floats up)
-
@eyallev the straw is always full of oil . At the slit end it is above water level . At the top end it is submerged in oil so again no water can enter. I wish i could have done this with a clear tube to show this better.

@kamalmichael why would the straw be empty? it's inside the water, it should be filled with water
okay, the reason why the oil is gonna flow to the top, is same "reason" that's gonna prevent the oil from sinking, or as say "re-entering", the "reason" being that oil is buoyant,

@eudaemonian The oil is introduced at the slit (water or oil cannot escape from here because of atmospheric pressure), it floats up, it then drops back to where it started by falling through the white tube and end up back at the slit..almost a full cycle. However, it is difficult to re introduce the oil again into the water at the slit. If this is accomplished, without pumping it in, the oil will rise. I put the vid up to see if anyone has any ideas how to do this... a sponge is not an option!

@NathaNRiveraMelo Already is sport .. to a certain extend. Hard to see it but the oil has come almost full circle...on its own with not a battery in sight. Built on a larger scale am sure the oil wud jump out of the u bend of the tube and re enter into the water .
