as the air enters the tube the water comes out but it also raises the level in the bottom tank thus sealing it again.... no way to over flow unless the tube gets a crack...

@jetraymond air pressure, there is no way for the water to escape the tube without causing a vacuum, however if air found its way into the tube the water in the bridge would drop and gradually release water into the two aquariums, possibly causing a flood.

you wont be able to see it at night because u have took the lids of the tank no good if you have live plants in the tank like me good idea though

@jkennedy1007 Oh I forgot to mention. Don't take out all of the air(oxygen) out of the big tube, leave some left so when the fish needs oxygen, it'll swim up. If you take out all the air from the tube, you can reverse it by using an air pump and and airline. Put the airline in the big tube and let the air pump pumps some air in, but make sure to look at the water level of both tanks, it might over fill.
