@SOTONY01 there is no accounting for taste, is there.

Carmen Miranda was an extremely talented singer and dancer with an unimitable, unique caracter. The majority of today's super stars do not come even close to her vibrating personality.

Maria do Carmo Miranda da Cunha ... an Entertainment Genius!
This wonderful woman is one of the most under-rated performers in entertainment history ... kind of like Donald O'Connor. She deserves far, far more credit than she has received.
To think that Madonna became a mega-super-star and that Carmen Miranda was moreorless considered a bit player! Ridiculous!
Carmen, we love you ... STILL!

Como assim? 1941 já tinha cor ?

@FunnySmileTelevision Sim!

I love these old movies - and these excerts are a great way of seeing all the best bits. That old technicolor sure stands the test of time well. Looks as fresh as the day it was filmed.

I'm sure they "freshened" it up for DVD! Color and film tend to shift and fade over time. They probably had to do some work on it before putting it on DVD.
