  • LOL'ed @ Sir Frederick William Herschel being "the man who discovered Uranus."

  • nasa never returned because the government stopped funding the moon missions

    they cost too much

the apollo missions were no more than a political statement, it was to show the soviet union it could be done

since then there has not been any real reason to go back to the moon, been there done that. Nobody wants to pay billions of dollars so that a couple of guys can go to the moon and collect rocks

  • @themix92 ok Mr caveman, you put money above all things.

Live in your stupidity then, and please please drink very much coca cola light .

  • @OmuNegru06 What the fuck do you know? Of course they have been there, video proof, and if you don't believe it then you might as well typed that comment in 1738.

  • guernicam, your are brainwash stupid idiot

  • Why?

because politics and public sentiment shifted away from science and exploration

    money was routed elsewhere

people lost interest in the moon "been there, done that"

there's no oil, gold, naked women on the moon

  • NASA never returned to the Moon because they never got there in the first place

  • @themix92 youre dumb. a permanent, even semi-permanent moon base would allow for much easier access to space experiments involving zero gravity. Certain materials can only be created in such environments.

There are a thousands reasons beyond, "collecting rocks" to study the moon. It's our closest non-atmospheric research station

  • Well, if Humans are forbidden to return to the Moon, how you guys explain that NASA is sending, not 1 but TWO satellites to the Moon this Thursday (9/8/11) ?...

According to NASA, the goal of GRAIL mission is to study the internal structure of the Moon.

  • im still a firm bieliever that we never went at all....you cannot prove it

  • Doesn't the us know that the other country's were trying to scare them? Lol
