The One Percent is a 2006 documentary about the growing wealth gap between America's wealthy elite and the citizenry on the whole. It was created by Jamie Johnson, heir to the Johnson & Johnson fortune, and produced by Jamie Johnson and Nick Kurzon. The film's title refers to the top one percent of Americans in terms of wealth, who control forty percent or more of the nation's wealth.

  • @swpdisciple I mean, you're talking about a guy that made BILLIONS for DECADES and never gave anything to anybody. And, suddenly, he gives it all away? Bull.

  • @swpdisciple yeah. you are. his public persona is public bullshit. he's really not donating his money, because his billions are in a trust fund. but he MAKES money by having such a public profile, because when you can MOVE the market, you MOVE it in your FAVOR. Get it? Got it? Good.

  • I'm confused...Warren Buffet seems to agree that the growing wealth gap is a huge problem. So, why does he hate his granddaughter if she's saying the same thing? Am I missing something?!

  • @BosPercussion yeah swedish volvos are a myth good point.

  • @kauaiphil I think it's funny that while you may support the "radical" causes, your example of funding your own college is exactly the type of situation that Friedman and someone like Dave Ramsey would argue for. Congratulations on doing something that a very small percentage of the population are able to accomplish on their own nowadays. Life always has choices. :)

  • @nerfmyaccount Welfare state in totality is de facto socialism. If you are going to give welfare to enough recipients then you are taxing enough of the economy to create socialism. Gov't owes business economically by having to utilize all of its profit more or less. Your argument of terminology then becomes moot. Also if you enlarge the welfare state, then ultimately there is no private sector and socialism occurs.

  • my god milton friedman is a dick ,progressive taxation is not socialism.

  • @Markitos203 Wilson is talking about the White Nazi Satanists who control the one percent - and control the government and military / police!! But it is your average white jane and joe doing Satan's work!!!

  • 2006 before the crash sep oct 2008 and 2009 aftershock and still going

  • "Since I entered politics, I have chiefly had men's views confided to me privately. Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of somebody, are afraid of something. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so complete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it".
