Stimpy sang this in an episode in Ren and Stimpy

In repsonse to your comment about the AFRICAN SLAVES...they wouldn't have dared sing it in English! The Soweto Gospel Choir only threw in the English in order to be able to market it to English-speakign consumers.) In Africa we sing the song entirely in it's original vernacular

WHY on EARTH does the conductor keep clappign so LOUDLY in the middle of the delivery!!! HOW ANNOYING! (And as for the ignorant comment about the AFRICAN SLAVES...they wouldn't have dared sing it in English! The Soweto Gospel Choir only threw in the English in order to be able to market it to English-speakign consumers.) In Africa we sing the sonf entirely in it's original vernacular.

This song is amazing. Can you imagine when it was first sang by the African slaves who couldn't speak english very well.
yet while picking cotton or getting wippings, their only reprieve was to sing come by here my LORD in this manner. i salute them, i love them, and i honour them.

please let the soweto gospel choir this song sing they sing this song much better i think

for a mostly (if not completely) white choir you guys did an amazing job... im sorry but Im always left a little disappointed when white choirs try and copy african arrangements - it's not easy to follow up soweto gospel choir, and hold your own but you guys did! good job!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful song. The message you bring thru your beautiful and spirit-filled voices would reach whoever heard it even if they spoke no English, and your's is perfect.
