how do you get immediate feedback on BigData/map-reduce massive data-crunching problems? JetBrains webstorm is quite impressive in regard to immediate feedback. You'd think this would happen in The One True Editor...

I think the concept of the IDE is still very much a glorified text editor... i feel code will (hopefully I have some contribution to this) depart from being ways where different people write copious amounts of text lines... while preserving the best concepts we have learnt in lisp, smalltalk/ruby, the jvm, even html/css... into a visual, collaborative, 'living image'
