My suggestion is to take a look at o18 instead of p18, it doesn't force white as hard to respond but it gives black better outside thickness if white doesn't respond

@itamaru123 hmm, p-18 is normally the vital point for the shape, as it takes away the tigers mouth eye shape. O-18 I tried, and it seems to white gets out slightly too easily and can lead to a broken shape. I responded with white at q-17 and pushed him left. Pushing him up is an option, but if you did that, p-18 would be more powerfull.
