jill u are absolutely incredible. anthropological? so u think chinese people are born smarter than everyone else?? china has an extremely long history but its definitely not the center of the universe...not the supposed "middle kingdom" as you would think. what about all the other ancient civilizations egypt, babylon, the advanced hindu civilizations that were spread along south east asia! maybe u need to get out of china and see the real world.

Hehe.. You're pointing towards China!
I was saying Chine is just ONE OF the origins of civilization... I did not deny other origins, And I don't mean that Chinese are necessary "SMARTER", but China has a longer history of human using their REASON to dictate their behavior and to organize and develop society so that people can survived! As Hobbes and several other philosophers agree on, the state of human nature is brutal, nasty and short. This is exactly how these terrorists act whiout REASON

I understand what you are saying. But you are like avoiding the truth and finding excuse for injustice (I assume that justice exists in the political realm).. Malaysia is currently very stable because of those effective policies. Think about what happened back in 1969 and think about what happened in Indonisian 1998. Even extreme economic inequality could not justify those felonious attack of the indigenous people.

no one is saying those events are good or justifiable. but it is very understandable why they happened. if you look at history, much of the Chinese communities in south east Asia came as traders and merchants during the colonial period. meanwhile the indigenous population of south east Asia underwent oppression from the colonizers, colonial policy have always favored the ethnic Chinese, and in so doing established their economic dominance over the region. Anthropological or political jill?

Understandable!??~?~?~ Sorry.. I have to say WHAT THE FUCK!!
Economic inequality can never justify their disgraceful and felonious attacks and humiliations on the innocent people!! There are many even poorer people in the world butthey would not do such things!!
Understandable?!! Because your mother and your sisters and your friends were not gang raped, humiliated, and tortured to death? Or because they didn't force your father to rape your sister?!
What a wonderful "understandable"!!
