Another clip from the August 2006 soda firing at PNW. Here you can see me spraying soda into the kiln, with Jenny pulling the bricks, and Dale playing the sound effect specialist. A good time was had by all. And thanks to Pär for being the cameraman.

  • Sounds like you guys have a good time together! I would love to see some of the pieces that came out of this firing!

  • We just unloaded the kiln two days ago. A clip of the unloading and some photos of my pieces from the firing will be here and at my blog (www.claymonk.com) in a few days. Are you a potter, too?

  • I'm kinda not good at remembering to check people's blogs, and pictures aren't as good as film in showing off pieces, I think :-)

Yeah - I'm a potter too. Come join the Ceramics group under Art & Animation! I have posted some potty videos to the group - or you can just go direct to my videos.

  • Wow I didn't realize there was a whole community of potters here on YouTube. I just joined the ceramics group, even though I don't have broadband so it'll take me a while to check out all the good stuff here... (I've been uploading my clips at the public library and while visiting relatives.)

Thanks for the invite. BTW I like your videos! Keep up the good work!

  • LOL yall are so funny :) I love that there is an epresso machine.

  • bowers

  • wow...nice..

  • The cameraman is annoying. It is as though he craves attention. It is dangerous for him to distract Jenny and the professor while they are working in such dangerous conditions!

  • Look like fun. I like firing a hard brick kiln at night, so much energy. I do soda too and posted a short video of results. I will look into the group mentioned above.

    Thanks!

  • The videos will stay in the group, so you can just take your time watching them all. Glad you joined. And thanks for the positive feedback :-)
