This is the second series of train footage in East Texas from June 28, 2009. At Big Sandy, TX I caught a southbound UP intermodal train with some general merchandise at the front of the consist as it crossed over the T&P line on the ex-Cotton Belt line. UP runs trains directionally in East Texas, with southbound trains headed for the Gulf ports and Mexico routed over the old Cotton Belt corridor between Texarkana and Hearne, TX via Big Sandy and Corsicana, and northbound trains bound for Chicago and points east routed over the former SP and T&P corridors between Hearne and Texarkana via Palestine and Longview. After this train passed, I headed over to Mineola on the Mineola Sub, where I caught the evening northbound Texas Eagle after some good eatin' at The East Texas Burger Co.
