After having seen a few of these kids jump into the water from a 50 foot drop, I couldn't resist getting my camera out. The group of kids hanging out at the top of the rock cliff are obviously locals who have come to the lake for a bit of goofing off. We presumed they were locals, since there was no boat anywhere nearby in the lake at the bottom of the waterfall, which is the dark area in the center of the screen.

These kids taking the plunge must have known what they were doing, for it appeared from our vantage point that they were landing in water that seemed to be mere feet from the rocky shore at the base of the waterfall.

Some of them did acrobatic flips into the water, while others used the slippery slope of the rock surface as a slide.

  • I've spent a many days in the summer at that spot and never seen anyone get hurt, just good ole fun that didn't cost you a dime but sadly this is illegal now.

  • grayson lake is AWESOME LOVE this place best place for jet skiing , boating I jumped off many of cliffs there but I don't think you can anymore *shrugs* maybe I'm wrong but I was just there and saw jumpers getting yelled at for doing so as well as last year ...

  • @justinkid23412- I guess by lots of people just like you clicking on it and watching it. However, with just 3,002 views, I don't see how it could possibly have been under the "most viewed" category.

  • Jumped off this cliff in my teen years. There's actually a county road a few yards behind this cliff.

  • actually when the kid does the first backflip he does it off "pussy point" up and to the left of the waterfall is the one called "waterfall"... "oh Shit" is actually on down to the right and its much higher than "waterfall"

  • this is sams rock, otherwise known as "oh shit" or "the waterfall". One of the most popular places to plunge. Being a "local" who's come here since i was a little kid, i can say that as long as you know what you're doing and can swim, cliff jumping is as safe as you make it.
