Come, come, come, O love, Quickly come to me, softly move; Come to the door, and away we'll flee And safe for aye may my darling be!

I wish, I wish, I wish in vain,
I wish I had my heart again,
And vainly think I'd not complain,
Is go dte tu mo mhuirnin slan
(plus the translation for the chorus lol)
Walk, walk, walk, O love,
Walk quickly to me, softly move;
Walk to the door, and away we'll flee,
And safe may my darling be.

What I love most about these Irish songs that so many people claim make them feel so good is...they're heart breaking in all honesty. This osng is written from the eyes of a woman whos man has gone to war, she would do anything just have him back and she suffers not knowing if he'll return...
But now my love has gone to France,
To try his fortune to advance;
If he e'er comes back, 'tis but a chance,
Is go dte tu mo mhuirnin slan...
