@ruben18able Yes this is a licensed performance. It is at Universal Studio's in Japan. It's a mixed language, and shortened (30 Minutes) version of the show that is performed around 4 or 5 times a day for tourists as Universal own the rights to Wicked.
@omglolwhatever I'm pretty sure culture has nothing to do with it. The rest of the peoples stayed, and it's just courtesy really, so...
Also, I'm not American, so I wouldn't know what kind of strange things they do. Personally, I think clapping when a plane lands sounds rather sweet though, considering how hard it can be to land one and how many lives the pilot generally has in his hands. xD
But meh. I wasn't trying to insult them, but you have to admit it is a little rude. Not just cultural.
@Hawkalina it's japan, it's their customs; they don't go wild for live performances, as a european i think it's strange how americans clap when planes land and give standing ovations at the cinema, but i don't insult them for it it's just different cultures
@jakewgard1 because it runs 34 times a week a cherry picker type lift would cost too much to run so part of the stage lifts up
