For many months I used to really suffer with the cold whilst on the low fat raw vegan diet. I used to shudder through to my bones! If you can keep off the fat, eat plenty of greens and stop cheating, then this does subside eventually. In most people their body is used to trying to deal with an unhealthy diet that causes them to overheat. When you become healthier, you are not as prone to overheating and your body takes time to readjust to running more efficiently. I now feel really comfortable even in subzero temperatures, with some decent clothing of course!

I also found that plenty of intense exercise helps your circulation and body temperature on these really cold days. I've joined Bannatyne's gym in Durham. I've been a member for about 3 weeks now and have really found it amazingly beneficial. I've been able to keep up and increase my exercise programme at the time of year when I normally begin to go into hibernation and wind down for the winter! This year, for the first time ever I've been taking vitamin D3 (5000iu), and B12. I've had none of the winter blues and not suffered with SAD. I've never felt better in all my life! I feel energised and overjoyed!

This morning, the thermometer outside our house on the wall read minus 11.5 degrees centigrade. In this video, I'm walking back from my allotment after filming another Youtube video on 'harvesting winter greens', so please subscribe so that you don't miss it! I used my bare hands to uncover greens buried in up to one foot deep snow and took them home to eat for lunch. My hands were SO COLD after uncovering and picking all the subzero temperature produce, but within minutes they recovered, and I didn't even need cloves when walking home. I've not even shivered at all in this rather cold cold spell!

It was a really bright day and the white snow messed up my camera exposure, so please accept my apologies if it looks like a grey day. My teeth aren't grey either by the way!
