Seminar 1-Denis Stewart Diploma of Botanic Medicine/Phytotherapy

Denis Stewart from the Southern Cross Herbal School [http://herbalschool.com.au] defends the discipline of herbal medicine or phytotherapy, introduces it's long history dating back to Genesis. He also begins to examine the place of healing herbs in modern medicine.He reminds us that herbal remedies are not to be thought of in precisely the same way as traditional treatments.
In this lecture Denis presents the Fundamentals of Herbal Medicine. Scientific explanation of why and how herbs work, a study of herbal constituents and active principles, a survey of herbal preparations eg extracts, tinctures etc.. the importance and establishment of the herbal medicine dosage.
