Great vid!! Your work looks awesome..i just put up a vid response that shows a different approach, stippling only the raised portions.. both ways have their pros & cons, but I just had to give you props for a great instructional vid.. Have u tried stippling MBUSs yet?

I might pick up one of those butane torches before i do my black pmag. I have a suspicion that my old ass iron(over 10 years old) is not able to hold the heat over time. The first patch i did looked great but over time it seemed to get sloppier.

Went and bought a new tip for my old soldering iron and got to work. I practiced on the lip protector covers and i think the less i lifted the better it turned out. The finished product definitely did not come out as nice as yours but i am liking it. I might of used too steep of an angle on the soldering iron I kept getting hung up in the polymer when i tried to move. Going to stipple another pmag next weekend. Thanks for the vid.

Hi, Just came across your post on ar15.com. By far the best stippling job i've seen. Are you following any specific pattern? Hope you don't mind but i am going to have copy this procedure.
Yeah, just get it real hot an move slow, the the gun do the work, I got hung up a few times myself for the same reason, I went a little too deep and the it stops and I have to pick up and start again.

No particular pattern, I'd say if I were trying to mimic some sort of pattern it would look like a brain. I've already done all my magazines, next time I'll do a real close video to help see what I mean. Basically just snake the iron across the plastic in a random smooth pattern. Think of it like a maze, try not to run back over the area you already hit. I'll post a pic tonight on arfcom of what I mean. Check back, an lemme know how it turns out man.
