This was my fastest pass on the stock motor/trans/converter, with major mods of PT51 turbo, Ultimate chip, and SMC alcohol injection (with 93 octane fuel). It was a real trick to get that stock converter to spool up hard on the line! But just listen to those tires light up :-)

Boost pressure: ~23 PSI.

UPDATE: To see the truck run 11.45 @ 117 in Nov. 2007, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1qCxssalO0

  • Guys - take a look at the description I posted with the video. It explains everything. The LONGBLOCK is stock. Bone stock bottom end, heads, camshaft, valve covers never been off! I listed the aftermarket turbo modifications in the description. What's to be confused about? Obviously it's not "SHOWROOM STOCK"!

  • Yes, Great Lakes Dragaway.

  • retard they come turbo...

  • Alot of Engineers were fired because of this model truck.

Most of them were from GMC for not talking to the Corvette engineers and when they came out and killed the vett's heads rolled on both sides.

  • vacum breaks right? nut shift with brake sink trick? I like your description, stock motor then add pt51 and alky lol. love the truck though work on em when I'm lucky. Just finished a 3" exhaust on a friend of mines with a 3" ATR downpipe. Again cool truck man

  • what alot of people dont know is they can thank Gale Banks for overseeing this project for GM

  • @stlchucko the 6.6 was a either a 403 or a pontiac 400. The "big motor" was a pontiac 400 with 350 heads. that was the bandit motor.

  • @86cookiemonster Agree. GM will kill off a car/engine combo if it beats it's flagship sports car, Corvette. I do believe that the 6.6L in the 78 TA was a 403 Olds motor.

  • nice truck. Thats not stock, i dont think they should have discontinued those trucks, hope they bringam back.

  • Sooo sick

  • That's sweet!, how much boost?

  • nice launch

  • you hit right on the nail thats why no one wants to buy their shit.. i bet Cadillac could easily build somethin to beat the vette

  • haha
