The first sentence is accurate, at least in cities like Charleston, South Carolina. and Savannah, Georgia. The rest is total hogwash. Nathan Bedford Forrest, a slave trader from Mississippi, started the KKK less than a year after the Civil War ended. As for Nazism, it started in post-WWI Germany, not the U.S.

Its not accurate to say Jews chose the Union over the Confedeacy. The first two Jews elected to the US Senate were Judah Benjamin from Louisiana and David Levy Yulee from Florida. Benjamin served in the Confederate cabinet and the quartermaster general of the Confederate army was Jewish. The Old South was very tolerant of Jews. Didn't hear about that in your history classes did you?

Think of it, the only non-christian that served a post in the Cabinet was Benjamin! But it was a Confederate Position not a Union Position. Even though Lincoln abolished Gen Order #11 he never appointed a Jew to his cabinet. There was only one non-white that served at the level of General and that was Confederate General Watie. Now for all the wag about Confederates and their intolerance, the North was no better. Good Show! Carry on!
