  • Yes, I've already been watching through all your videos! They're so...LOUD, and cute/ugly and WOW! Those were hard working parents feeding those three!

  • I know! I couldn't wait for the babies to get old enough to feed themselves! They are all located in my bedroom so I hear them all the time even when I'm on the computer since it's there too.

What amazes me is that for a bird that sings so softly and is most of the time very quiet...their babies are totaly different than that! Are they ever LOUD!

Good news I don't hear them no more since they feed themselves....I had them feeding out of my hand earlier, all five of them including the parents.

  • What a gorgeous finch! So pretty on the eyes!

  • Thank you! He's my very first gouldian finch I got, then got him a mate and the next day they were mating! I had Christmass babies from those two. You can see them in my videos somewhere.

  • I forgot to add: would you beleive that he was abandonned by his previous owner at a petshop that also keeps birds for people that go away. He never came back for him and his yellow parrot. So I got him from the petshop owner after a year.

  • Black head, white breast, green back (BH-WB-GB)

He's really beautiful and healthy! Is he your only bird?

  • Actualy I just got a female for him about 1 month ago and they are now breading. She laid eggs but didn't sit on them regularly so I don't think they will be good.

I will candle them this weekend to see if they are fertile.

I also have more birds of different species.

I lost my female strawberry finch yesterday. Her hearth gave out. :(
