Should Batman Kill The Joker?

Now for many comic book fans this has been a question that has come to mind on more than one occasion. It would ultimately serve a greater good than allowing him to live bu the problem is at what cost to The Batman?

that's a tough one there. i say that cuz that's batman's main and powerful enemy. well not really powerful, but he can really really get under batman's skin. all the lives he's taken away at his own hands? i would like to see him die, but c'mon, its the joker. one of the coolest vilians to me in batman history! who's gonna take his place as the most crazed villian in batman series? The Riddler? lol naw.

Joker is the best and my fav nemesis of batman. Shouldnt kill him. Besides killing someone that is sadisticly evil as the joker... that crazy s.o.b. would squirt acid in the devils face and come back some how. Like an evil clown entity.. wait.. that would be pretty fuckin cool comic series.

i believe batman couldnt kill the joker as it is against everything he stands for and believes in but bruce wayne on the other hand i believe he would accept that he could kill the joker

that acctually would make an interesting story arc if batman killed the joker and the consquences that come with it like citizens of gotham dividing into pro and anti batman groups whilst causing riots, commissioner gordon in a sressful dilema about wheather batman should be allowed to walk free or if he should be shot down.

@kalimaganeshshivan agree with you, but only with Batman/Joker! Batman lost loved ones, realized that the world is full of shit, and he has to help it, and doing opposite of what the crime does. Joker also lost loved ones, he also realized that the world is a piece of shit and a joke, so he will help the world see what it is more clear! That is a part where they are the same person, that chose different paths... same realization, same understanding, but diff commitment/desire.
