This is perhaps the most difficult song cycle ever was written. Critics often prefer voices in the prime of their power. "Winterreise" was the most beloved music in Mr. Preys life, and after many years on stage this is an outstanding rendition only an elder singer with life experience can give.

Thanks for your nice commend.
I´m not realy an expert in classic music and classic voices. Quite the contrary. And i know how important it is first in classic music to hit every note and phrases exactly. But for me this 4 minutes are worthwhile the three years work and research for the film. An 67 year old singer with a wounded body from his past 4 Schubert concert nights. And i see and hear total passion and graveness in a kind i never recognized before. Mindblowing.
