This tutorial explains how you can change your header on your blogger blog, and also how you can customize the borders.
The firefox addon that I use is called firbug and you can get it here http://getfirebug.com/

I have tried this now about ten times over three days and still my header wont appear on my blog! I've changed my header a few times in the past and never had a problem. I even made a new blog and loaded the header image with no worries at all - just having problems with my own...

I don't quite understand. You changed headers before and it worked but now it isn't? where exactly are you having trouble?
