Blizzforge Replay: Hydra

A game to show how overpowered hydralisks can be. I personally love the hydralisk, I think it's the bread and butter of the zerg :3
The hydralisk is basically the spartan warrior of the zerg. The hydralisk den is a building to rush within the first two minutes of the game, and the ending result of using the hydra for early attacks or simply defending is outstanding especially roaches and fast immortals(If you thought they were good sc1 with they were, just check them out now). The hydralisk is also a nice steady combination for early nydus worm attacks. The all powerful hydralisk is here :D
Also I want you to pay attention to what happens during my little build order I have going on. Now obviously I had lings, but I guess the only viable 2v2 counter for my hydra build is an extremely fast rush(but thats like everyone else when kids are trying to annihilate a player) but besides that I haven't really found any real counters yet. I still have lings which I can easily mass up during an attack as I wait for the hydralisks. Another minor problem can be your economy though if your not droning up. Your going to be gas hungry no matter what most likely because the hydralisks are now 100 minerals and 100 gas. If you get the nydus attack going though, you shouldn't have any real problems because you can still mass a good number very quickly.

@Darkmapper Every unit has an 'easy' counter for every race. Hydra are actually very cost effective given there attack power.

hydralisks are easily counterable. The toss build Colossus, the terrans hellions and the zerg have a good mix of banelings/zerglings. Hydras are very expensive and since its a Tier 1.5 Unit, you cant really "rush" with hydras. Nydus Worms arent usefull against a good player either, they discover it immediatly. Besides, the nydus worm was unneccesary, he woud`ve won anyway since hydras are the counterunits against immos. This vid is just showing nooby players, not op hydras.
