Great little application I found called, simply, "TCPMP". It'll play Divx, Xvid, MP4 and some WMV files. It will also playback images and audio MP3 and even OGG.
Here's a link for more information and download http://tcpmp.corecodec.org/about

The clip shows my Palm Tungsten T3 playing back part of the music video to "Aria" by Delerium and the Mediaeval Baebes. I'm currently using TCPMP to watch my collection of Kevin Smith films.

Who needs an IPod ?

  • Hello, I just downloaded the TCPMP for my Tungsten T3 and it plays my AVI files great except it won't fill the entire screen in landscape mode. For some reason I can't hide the grafitti area. I noticed yours is fully filling the screen with the grafitti area hidden. Mine isn't even highlighted as an option to hide it. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  • @ashleybumgardner1 Hi, yes, if you look at the row of icons below the graffiti area. There is one, resembling a sort of scribble pattern, that will toggle your graffiti area on and off.

  • Hey, I have a T3 using TCPMP software. But the video is real choppy. Any suggestions?

  • Hi there, I saw your T3 video. Unfortunately there is little you can do with TCPMP, as there are no caching settings. The only thing I can suggest is that you convert your the videos you want to watch on your desktop to something the T3 can handle. FWIW, my T3 could handle XVid without any choppyness.

  • any1 know how to use the dialer on this?

  • Which dialer do you mean? The Bluetooth one? Afraid I don't know of an audio DTMF dialer, although that would be great :)
