  • damn, this engine sucks big time -.- if u don't have that cross in middle of screen then you would shoot 3 meaters abowe him -.-

  • @SeRgA123456789 and you must be?

    eh nevermind

  • hi, i would like to know just how you made your own game engine and everything, if you dont have the time to explain, could you send a link or give some recommendations on how to start out? Thanks

  • @cheonl1 hello, well its been a long time since i have worked on anything game programming

unfortunatelly, but to short answer: i started learning c++, then wanted to do something like 3d games, so i

went and started studiyng direct and opengl, later i found OGRE which is higher level then those APIs and

abstract much of the work... its still very far away from higher level game engines like udk or unity though,

  • and you can get better work in less time with them. I think its just comes down to what you want to achieve.

my goal was first to learn the language and programming skills as im a programmer =) then to make

something presentable.. other people might be interested in doing mods, or starting with game engines

like neoaxis(based on ogre), or unity/udk/etc to have an idea then have sketched playable as soon as

    possible

  • if you are looking more for the programming side, id recommend reading c++ books, like the deitel ones.

and then something more game oriented - this will depend more on which type of game you are pursuing..

for example for RTS games you will want to read books about path finding, scripting, and all sort of AI

also look for open source projects, it helps a lot

  • Nice FPS! The graphics are awsome dude! :D

  • If it is compatible with the program you are using, buy DarkMATTER or an FPS Creator weapons model pack. Both offer very high quality models and are fairly cheap.

  • I'm pretty sure you can find people willing to make models for you. Many people do that just for fun.

Or you could find some online depository of free to use models.

  • whats program ?
