Doing a factory reset on a BlueSMiRF Bluetooth Modem should cause it to revert to default settings and set its UART to 115200 baud, 8N1. The PIN code should also be cleared. Useful for those who may have accidentally misconfigured their device. This should also work on other RN-41 based modules.
You'll need to be able to turn the power on and off while keeping your jumper wires touching the pins. A helper or a hands-free power switch might be good to have.
I don't understand a thing: the module must be unplugged? I must only connect the two pins (3.3v and gnd) or i must connect vcc and gnd too?

Doesn't seem to be working for me :-S I've got the same board as you, it does the quick flashes but nothing seems to revert. My problem is I tried changing the pin code and now no device recognises the new code :(

Thanks for this vid. I'm going to recruit another hand and see if I can get my BlueSMiRF working again.

I think my Bluesmirf is dead. Getting gibberish in terminal with a wired connection, no LEDs, no Bluetooth, reset not working, voltages correct ;..)
