this footage makes me know for sure that we are not all robots in some pre-programmed plan.
Be-Bop is the most beautiful and difficult of the Jazz. Maybe it is not Jazz at all. Maybe someday it'll be classified as a music unto itself.
The funny moments in this footage make my heart do a somersault.
Jackie went on to be one of the greatest teachers ever. He lived the life of ten men.
Sorry to lay it on heavy. I can't help the way I feel.

If anyone would like to contact Freddie Redd, he is alive and well and living in LA.

@rpoole444 it's called "Who Killed Cock Robin". You can find it on Freddie Redd's recording "The Connection".

@thefreeworldofmusic: No, my question was about Freddie Redd, the pianist, who is alive and well. I'm well aware that Jackie has gone on to the great jam session beyond.

You can get a recording of the all music from this play from Amazon. It's out as a Bluenote remaster, and its called 'The Music From The Connection' - by The Freddy Redd Quartet.
Buy it - you won't regret it - I promise!
