Very creative! I can't believe you filmed all that with a Vado HD. Nice work! :D

This is awesome, I would love to do this in my Honda Del Sol. Need a new engine though, it seems like a great way to just get away and do reflecting and other things.
Some day...

Tuesday or Wednesday. Then I'll be taking another trip and recording a new series. This time it's the islands of North Carolina! :)

Got any info on the camera/mic/video setup you used to film this? Also, did you just film the whole time you were riding, and then edit all the good stuff in, or did you just turn the camera on at certain time? Very good idea and well done.

The only AV gear used was a Vado HD. I'm used to using prosumer cameras for Hak5 but this little bugger really lends itself to a bunch of creativity -- especially once you cover it with Velcro. And at $100 I wouldn't feel horrible if I accidentally dropped and ran over it.
I didn't film the whole time. The Vado HD can only store 4 hours of HD video and it's battery only lasts 2 hours between recharges.
I only used the camera when there was something to see or say and edited it all together.

Did anyone give you wierd looks with the monkey?

The monkey was a big hit. Lots of toll booth operators commented on him and I got some honks and looks by college girls outside of DC. Jason tells me that the way he was strapped down he waved one of his arms in the wind. I'll have to get him a mini motorcycle helmet for the next adventure.
