I remember when I sw this for the first time... it was epic, it was awesome, this was what turned me into a japanophile for some months.
Unfortunately, the game wasn't as good as it looked. Fortunately, I got over my wapanese peiod.

Unofficially it is coming via transgen but since it is an unofficial translation you may have to import the game to apply the patch.

The voices rock but theres a bunch of text in between the actual spoken parts and for no apparent reason heres a random translation

It's not really "for no reason", they usually reserve spoken scenes for character intros and major story events. The Super Robot Wars series is like that too.
