They really should have made it longer. Maybe have it continue panning out to show the entire fleet being destroyed or something.

One ship being killed by a reaper doesn't really inspire anything.

Because in that ending you are not talking to the catalyst, you are talking to the writers and you are criticizing their art, and you should never do that,or as an obvious consequence you will receive a middle finger...

Well, your shepard maybe not, my shepard believes that everyone deserves a chance, he don't accept discrimination as an option, and certainly he believes that diversity is the best thing in the galaxy.

"That is a non-decision", sorry but what you mean, is "that is a non-crime", because if you take your time to think about it this is the only decision you do make and are not forced to make...

Of course I´m talking about ME 1 and ME2 shepard, this travesty I can't acknowledge as Shepard...

But that is not artistic, is to videogaming, so they thought that violations, genocides and god complex would have more meaning...

I still don't get why he throws a temper tantrum over Shepard shooting at his hologram (especially since he considers his own destruction a valid "solution"). It really conflicts with how Bioware tries so had to portray him as a "coldly logical AI", when he is also incredibly petty and spiteful.

I don't think so, Shepard is not you average mediocre Joe who thinks that everyone is equal only because it makes him feel better. Shepard knows when decisions must be taken... That is a non-decision. A lack of leadership whatsoever... That is not Shepard who would have enough self esteem and ego to lift a mountain and guts to decide. Not doing so is nonsense

"We fought as a united galaxy but it wasnt enough"

What kind of ending is that? Wasnt the point of the series something like "together we can achieve everything"?

Well it would be nice to have a happy ending now and not 50,000 years later. Plus this ending does make all of Shepard's efforts seem irrelevant considering the Reapers still win.

However what confuses me is the fact that the Catalyst still uses its previous solution even after stating that it doesn't work. I mean can't it just turn off the Reapers or make them go away since it controls them.

    Ahh, it's perfect!

The destruction of Earth and relay systems was so powerful and sad in the original ending, but completely ruined by the Normandy's narrow escape and the lame primitive star-gazing child and old guy after that...

I rather wanted this; where we fail, but Liara's carefully assembled data on the Reapers are discovered by unknown aliens in the future. It is sad, but still pretty realistic ending given the circumstance. Most important, Shepard's efforts would't have been in vain.
