http://www.westislandweather.com This old film was discovered in the trash along with a movie projector on Tripp St, Fairhaven, MA in 1988. The film in poor condition was restored by equipment at the West Island Weather Station and found to have had this vintage film of the Fairhaven Memorial Day Parade circa 1965. It was filmed at the corners of Main and Washington Sts where Cumberland Farms is located today. Some parts are dark and scratchy but worth bringing back some memories. Some scenes include a brief look at Guys Pharmacy, Roses Market (now Minvera's ) and someone's FHS Graduation Day and scenes around FHS. Do you recall any scenes or people in this film? Thanks for posting this. I was born in 1966 and raised in Fairhaven..down on Sconticut Neck. I miss the good times..and the innocence if being a kid down there. What fun we had.
