  • @Suuuperelaxed John Piper say's here in this message "The people that ought to be giving our money and our time and our lives, instead selling a bunch of crap called 'gospel'"...

He's saying that they should give their all; listen to the message carefully. This isn't about not giving, this is about not giving something that has no savor, has no last. The only thing eternal and everlasting is Christ.

  • @TruthCarrier8 Morally he is. If he wants to be a loving, merciful, just god he is. In the same way if I dig a spiked pit under my pregnant wife because one of her ancestors ate a fruit, I'm still morally obliged to "save" the baby before it falls out of the womb. It's just the right thing to do. Even if the pit is so deep it takes eighty-odd years for the baby to fall, and if at any point the baby says it loves me I'll catch it, it's me who doomed the baby in the first place.

  • @ChasersRush Except Hitler justified his actions by claiming god's approval, and Stalin built an entire personality cult around himself, harnessing the quasi-religious culture of a people ruled by a divine leader for centuries.

Stalin was atheist, but he didn't kill millions of people because of that, and Hitler didn't do it because he was a Christian, they did it because they were both evil men.

  • @Fangtorn God wasn't obliged to save any of us.....

  • @AznAndy9000 Where does it say that?

  • I come from the prosperity gospel mess... I wish my eyes were opened sooner.

  • @louise9914 problem with that is he doesnt promise financial stability, or health for that matter. In fact he promises the exact opposite to those who truly follow him "Take up your cross" is not a statement about being healthy or financial stability.

  • Powerful.
