@blondiee100 At the end of the day it's an agreement between an adult and a company.

Rac is OK and there is a need for these services. Like anything in life,if u
Don't have the full amount it will cost more.

Actually, they target low income households. Fact that they happen to be mostly black and hispanic in this particular part of new york is purely coincidental.

These programs do not tell both sides of the story!! Sick & tired of listening to ppl whining about their prices. Have you ever calculated what a loan costs at a finance company?? Have you?? Do the math...AND you do NOT have the option to pay if off at a discount, nor to just bring it back because you have bigger eyes than your wallet. The service provided by rent to own stores is astounding. You would have to work in one to know. Would you rent your stuff at cost to a stranger?? NO.

They are shady ass company...I used to work there so did my husband they fucked me over big time for basically firing me for being pregnant and had him falsly imprisoned. Firing him for a theft he didnt commit. They rip people off . They put glue in people key locks, slash tires, water hoses in basements ect. Go to Aarons. At least they wont treat you like shit.

the customer is told the price of the product... if they follow full term then yea they pay more .. if you pay off the item in 90 days than you get it for coast.. simple as that nothing is hiddin in the prices it is also writen on the tags on the items.. 90 days same as cash price and full term rental price.. and there is always an option to pay off the item before full term if you do not pay within the 90 days same as cash period

just like credit- if you abuse it it can be your enemy, if you use it right, it's good. ppl need to quit trying to get a 70" tv when you work at mcd's. just sayin.
I don't like it but I ain't got no money

Rentacenter does not take advantage in anyway different than if someone were to buy a tv on a credit card that with 21% interest. What if Rentacenter only rented and didn't give you the opportunity to own? Others don't give you that option, like leasing a car or renting a home. So be happy that at least they can provide a service to those that don't have the cash or the credit needed to enjoy nice things. To some people, paying 3 times the value is worth than not having anything at all.
