Physical Therapy / Hydrotherapy For Moki

Yesterday Moki began his very first physical therapy/water therapy treatment. The goal of water therapy is to improve Moki's range of motion. By getting Moki to kick and paddle with all four of his legs in a weightless environment, we can help Moki to build muscle tone, and improve his flexiabilty, both of which should in turn improve Moki's ability to walk. Moki was never in any danger during this video, and the therapy was preformed by someone highly trained, at "Healing Touch Small Animal Rehabilitation Center," in San Jose, CA.

How is Moki doing?

The physical therapy has helped Moki regain the ability to clean his own front paws, something he hasn't been able to do since he got sick.

At the moment the neurologist (all of them) at UC Davis remain baffled by Moki's condition and thus have sent his medical file out to a specialist amongst specialist in Missouri. This particular doctor conducts alot of advance level research on degenerative diseases and may be able to help...we'll have to wait and see...

Yes it does! These videos where record during Moki's first session, but we plan on recording more videos with each session that passes, so you can check back weekly to see Moki's progress!
