I made this video documenting year 4 of infertility. After nearly 8 years total, I am finally pregnant (due Sept 2011) thanks to faith, prayer and the miracle of modern medicine. :)

  • Congratulations! You must be soo over the moon right now : D What finally worked for you if you don't mind me asking?

  • @bianda24 It was IUI with injectible meds (Follistim). It took 9 treatment cycles total (4 Clomid/5 Follistim), 7 of those with IUIs. I did get pregnant after cycle 6, but miscarried. 3 cycles later I was pregnant again and it stuck! I am 14 weeks along.

Thanks for the congrats and, yes, "over the moon" is a perfect way to describe it! <3

  • I am so sad now. I got pregnant last year and miscarried in feb 09. I've been trying to get pregannt again for almost a year and have no results. Everyione around me is getting pregnant and I feel alone. This video really crushed the last little bit oh hope I had :( I am litterally crying. I feel so bad for whoever you are that posted this.

  • I am so sorry for your loss. :( Big hugs.

  • Please dont feel bad for me! This video was made with much hope. Here I am nearly 3 years later. Although I still havent had a child, I have grown so much through my experiences over the last 7 years. I honestly wouldnt trade my life for anyone elses.

Despite what donnad23 says, I know that I will be a mother someday. Right now, we are looking into foster care and adoption, as well as other avenues. Hope is not lost. In fact, I feel more hopeful now than ever before! :)

  • If only it were that simple! I would have done it years ago. Be careful about making judgments and giving advice like that without knowing all the facts. You can't come in, watch a five minute video, and assume you can solve the problem. Life doesn't work that way. Adoption is anything BUT simple...

P.S. I am adopted myself, so of course I'd be open to that option, if it was a viable option for me at this time.

  • I am glad you have chosen the path that works for you. Every person chooses their own different path. Some live childless, some adopt, some do treatments.

It's really sad that you make judgments about other people's life decisions. It would be nice if we could all learn to respect and support each other within the infertility world.

I wish you a long, happy fulfilling life.

  • Thank you so much. We have been trying for almost 5 years and it is so hard. Thank you for letting me know there is someone else that is waiting for some LOVE. You waited 8 years and are pregnant... There is hope.

    It's just so hard.

  • We are at the end of year two of infertility...just found out that my best friend is pregnant. So glad to hear you are expecting. It gives me hope and light in an endless fog of disappointment.

  • Congratulations, may God keep His hands over your womb and knit your child together in your womb until full term. I share a similar experience to yours. Having PCOS. I did the clomid, the FSH injections, the scans, two ovarian diathermy, the thigh injections for two cycles of ICSI, with all the poking and probing. My second ICSI was successful thanks to the prayers, fasting, modern medicine and God knitting my child together in my womb to full term. Our little angel was born Jan 2011. God bless

  • congrats. my husband and I only struggled for 2 years to have our daughter. So i can imagine the joy you are having right now. I'm also due in september/october 2011.

  • CONGRATS! I understand the pain of BFN's... hopefully I will get my BFP soon. Happy healthy 9 months!

  • Adopt dorkhunter? - oh how simple, we never thought of that! Not sure where you are in the world but it isn't that easy to adopt. We'd love to but just remember that not everyone gets accepted after a long and rigorous investigation by social workers and still 20% of adoptions fail - well in the UK anyway.

Infertility is heartbreaking and every success is a miracle - Congratulations!

  • I come back to check this video every once in awhile and I am thrilled that you are pregnant!! Congrats and I hope that you never ever have to go through that ever again.

  • congrats! I'm so happy for you. We are on year three and just starting on pills. Crossing our fingers and hoping.

  • @dorkhunter1 adoption is not as easy as you may think it is, and it sure isint simple.
