ToneBoard 1.0 on iPhone

ToneBoard is an iphone app with which you can compose millions of fun music by enabling various tone buttons on the tone board.

It consists of 10x16 tone matrix.

The horizontal line is the time axis while the vertical line is the tone axis. 16 different tones are distributed along the tone axis. Press each square to activate the tone and press again to deactivate it.

No, my iPod is not jailbroken, and neither is my brother's. My guess is that your code us a little buggy, so that certain minor differences in firmware make a big difference in terms of performance.

PS: For anybody reading, the comments above are *not* spam. I just split my response to Felix into three parts one after another because it was too long for one comment. Somebody must have marked it as spam inaccurately.

And version 2 is going to be released soon. You can try it later to see if you still have the same problem or not. It will be offered as a free update.

I am very confused. I tested it on ipod and iphone. And my friends downloaded them on iphone and ipod and they are working fine.

And some users also states that it works.

Today, my friend downloaded and the app is working fun on his iPhone. His iPhone is the same version as yours. I also have reviewed all the comments. Some said it did not work while others said it worked.

Is it because your phone is jailbroken? A user said that it does not work on a jailbroken iphone.

I have good news and bad news. Good news: the app now installs on my iPod, no problem. Either you work very fast or this was a fluke.

Bad new? There's no sound! Other apps worked fine but ToneBoard didn't make a peep. The grid lights up and animates but that's it. I tried resetting and even deleted/reinstalled the app, but no dice. The app is completely mute. I notice from the reviews that I'm not the only one with this problem... Is that why it wasn't set for the iPod, b/c it WAS incompatible?

PS: You need to add contact info to the ToneBoard entry. Right now there's no email or website info at all, and people can't leave comments until they install it. I had to google your name, found ToneBoard on an app directory that had a link to your blog (which had no email to contact or even a place to leave comments), and then followed the link to the YouTube demo and commented.
