@NinjaRider777R Gotcha, good to know.

@mybestregards Sorry but the Supreme Court ruled late last year that police and all public officials CAN be filmed while on duty, they have no right to ask you to stop anymore regardless of their previous laws.
All pre-existing anti-filming laws are now illegal. You cannot be prosecuted or arrested for filming police, politicians, or any other state or Federal employee.

@NinjaRider777R I think there is an exception to this in certain states where you need to get permission. I think Pennsylvania and Massachusetts are examples of states that have this law, but not totally sure. Also there are some states that disallow audio recording without permission as well.

when i was 8 years old an old man abducted me and two of my friends, held us captive in a basement and made us watch gay scat videos for 6 days straight. he said on the 7th day he was gonna "pleasure" us with a hammer. he said we could never do anything about it because he was a cop and no one would believe us anyway. he raped both of my friends but i got away. that man was... hammer555551. aka MC Hammer. can't touch this...

@TheMummy516 Still has no right what so ever to tell you not to run the camera. If they ever do that again you make sure to tell them to have a police cam handy and running and get that on tape and tell them its in case they pull anything funny and you want it as court evidence. See how fast they make you shut it off then.

@whiskeydence02 all involved even if other evidence is discovered for the illegal act by the arresting police officer. Remember that rookie PUNK!! LMMFAOROTF!

Hey officer! Only place you have a right to tell some one to put their camera down is on your own property. Even if you have a badge on cameras are used as an instrument in court for protection against, abuse (verbal and physical), Police misconduct, lies and false statements and there is no law in 50 states stating they can not be. But it is in fact against the law under abuse of power for you to force a citizen to close down their camera during an arrest, and charges may be dropped against

no hahah bad liar much?

@joshacio I must agree. I only like wearing a helmet if I'm going into a big park.
Next time a cop tells you to stop filming, you don't have to listen if you're in a public place.
Cops have no "expectation of privacy" out in public so they can be legally filmed.
