The Palestinians on Sunday accused U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton of undermining progress toward Mideast peace talks after she praised Israel for offering to curb some Jewish settlement construction. (Nov. 1)

The talks are being sabotaged by somebody else than Israel technology minister or the Palestinian government. This is the reason why both sides claim the other side doesn't want to talk.

It is symptomous to the existing hierarchy of power.

@yghussain - Yes, inch by inch, Israel moves its people in and takes more land. Will Israel give any of it back? Nothing meaningful for sure...a scrap of useless land here and there. They are likely occupying useless, unwanted land right now, so as to give it back later and call themselves generous. People like to call the land occupied and not actually stolen yet, in the hopes that one day it will become Palestinian and Un-occupied. But I take your point. What will Israel give back? Not much.

It's not land "they claim for a future State"

It's land internationally recognized as occupied , wrongly by Israel which puts illegal settlements. Colonisation is a BLATANT violation of International Law, as big, in fact as a Korean missile... it's a situation that violates the Fourth Geneva Conventions. It's not a little point to be violated, because of the danger of ethnic cleansing, of deportation. And ethnic cleansing we see. It's a UN resolution's Claim and it's sad that it's violated too

It's funny when you hear someone take the side of a people who teach their kids that its ok to kill jews and spread blood libels complain about racism. Israelis are very racially diverse. In fact the Arab Israelis are some of the most pro-Israel segment of the population, having lived under Arab rule and under one of the most progressive democracies in the world.
