These plants all were flattened to the ground and pounded by numerous hail storms and now they made a big comeback... http://www.youtube.com/user/Praxxus55712

  • Goodluck with the tomatoes

  • @AGS4LIFES thanks, they will produce plenty...

  • I think your main concern now will be to contain the tomato monsters you created. lol

You can use the stakes to stake up a few of the taller shoots and allow the rest to crawl at ground level. This will give you two levels of growth. The stems in contact with soil will probably put down roots along parts of the stem.. This makes the plant even stronger and more productive. I can pretty much guarrantee you're going to have a very productive harvest this year. :)

  • @Praxxus55712 i just sent you a PM before i saw your comment.. thank you, i will do what you said and yes, the stems in contact with the ground are rooting good now and the plants do seem real sturdy.. these are all better boy except for a volunteer which i don't know what it is. the soil is very rich and i used a lot of organic matter, peat, cow manure, dried leaves last fall, etc, etc.. and miracle grow garden soil which has a lot of organics in them as well. can't wait for the first tomato !
